WELCOME PARTYOur Welcome Party is Cocktail Attire — stylish, elevated and semi-formal. For gentlemen: suits or dress pants with a blazer. For ladies: cocktail dresses, midi dresses, or jumpsuits.WEDDING DAYOur wedding is Black Tie — polished and classic. For gentlemen: tuxedos with bow ties. For ladies: full-length gowns. Please note that portions of the celebration will take place on grass, so we recommend selecting footwear accordingly. Block heels, wedges, or heel protectors are encouraged for comfort. Light outerwear for the evening is recommended. Most importantly, choose attire that allows you to celebrate, dance, and enjoy the evening comfortably!

Claire and Alex first crossed paths at a Main Line mixer in middle school. At the time, they went to different middle schools and went on to attend different high schools. Throughout this time, they kept in touch every so often. At the start of freshman year of college Alex reached out again, leading to a long-distance relationship, with Claire at Boston College and Alex at the University of Michigan. After graduation, they both moved back to the area and settled in West Chester with their dog, Winnie. In June Alex proposed at the Mainstay Inn in Cape May—a moment made even more memorable because Claire’s dad had planned to propose to her mom there (but got anxious and did it the night before). They are now so excited to celebrate their wedding with you!

What is the dress code?

Our Wedding is Black Tie — Think Polished and Classic.For Gentlemen: Tuxedos with Bow Ties.For Ladies: Full-length Gowns.Dress shoes and light outerwear for the evening are recommended. Comfort is important—Please choose footwear you can wear for dancing.

What time should I arrive?

Early Guest arrival to our Ceremony is at 3:00 PM. The Ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 PM, so please arrive by 3:25 at the latest. Our Cocktail Hour will begin at 5:00 PM.

Will the Ceremony and Reception be Indoors or Outdoors?

The Ceremony will be held indoors at St. Thomas of Villanova church.The Cocktail Hour will be held both indoors and outdoors at Aronimink Golf Club. The Reception will be held outdoors at Aronimink Golf Club.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Our ceremony will be unplugged. We respectfully ask that all phones, cameras, and devices remain tucked away during the ceremony so that you can be fully present as we exchange our vows. Thank you for helping us preserve this special moment.

Can I bring a plus one?

We wish we could celebrate with everyone, but due to venue and guest count limitations, we are unable to extend additional plus ones. We are so grateful for your understanding and are looking forward to sharing our special day with you.

Are children invited?

We have chosen to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope this advance notice allows you time to make arrangements, and we look forward to celebrating with you.

When is the RSVP deadline?

The deadline to RSVP is by July 20th.

Is there a hotel room block?

Yes! We will be using the AC Marriott in Newton Square and the Radnor Hotel. Please see the Travel section for more details.

How far is the venue from the hotel?

From St. Thomas of Villanova to the AC Marriott in Newtown Square, it is about 18-20 minutes. From St. Thomas of Villanova to the Radnor Hotel, it is about 10 minutes.

How long is the ceremony?

The Ceremony is from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

What happens after the ceremony?

Cocktail Hour will begin at the Aronimink Gold Club at 5 PM. Reception will follow Cocktail Hour and begin at 6:30 PM.

What time does the reception end?

Reception will end at 10:30 PM. There will be an afterparty held indoors at the Belmont after the reception.

Are there vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free/allergy friendly options?

Yes! We are happy to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary restrictions or food allergies. When submitting your RSVP, please note any dietary needs in the allergy and dietary restrictions section so we can ensure appropriate accommodations are made.

From New York &amp; New England: Take the New Jersey Turnpike (I-95) to Exit 6 (Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276) exit). Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276) Westbound to Exit 20 (Mid-County Interchange), I-476 South/Chester. Follow I-476 South to Exit 13 (Villanova/St Davids). At the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto Route 30 East/ Lancaster Avenue. Proceed east on Route 30 for one-half mile. Continue on Rt. 30 through the intersection at Rt. 320/Springmill Rd. At the next light, turn right on St. Thomas Way to the parking lots (L3 &amp; L2 on campus map) on the left and right. Cross the bridge to the church. There is an elevator to the bridge.

From The West: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76) to Exit 326 - Valley Forge. Take I-76 (Schuykill Expressway) to Exit 331A (I-476 South/Chester) to Exit 13 (US 30 St. Davids/Villanova) to Route 30 East/Lancaster Avenue. Proceed east on Route 30 for one-half mile. Continue on Rt. 30 through the intersection at Rt. 320/Springmill Rd. At the next light, turn right on St. Thomas Way to the parking lots (L3 &amp; L2 on campus map) on the left and right. Cross the bridge to the church. There is an elevator to the bridge.

From The South: Take I-95 North to Exit 7 (I-476 (Blue Route) North/Plymouth Meeting). Take I-476 (Blue Route) North to Exit 13 (Villanova/St Davids) to Route 30 East, also called Lancaster Ave. Proceed east on Route 30 for one-half mile. Continue on Lancaster through the intersection at Rt. 320/Springmill Rd. At the next light, turn right on St. Thomas Way to the parking lots (L3 &amp; L2 on campus map) on the left and right. Cross the bridge to the church. There is an elevator to the bridge.

Guests with Mobility Issues - Enter campus at the Springmill Rd. Gate (between Rte. 30/Lancaster Ave. and County Line Rd.) The guard will direct you to a parking area close to the church. There is a concrete walkway to the church; therefore, no stairs.
